Emerade is used for the emergency treatment of a sudden,
severe and life-threatening allergic reaction also known as anaphylaxis.

Relaxing your muscles in your airways which allows you to breathe more easily

Helping to reverse the quick and dangerous drop in your blood pressure

Relaxing the muscles in your stomach, intestines, and bladder.

Emerade should be used right away during a severe allergic reaction. It does not replace seeing a doctor or going to the hospital.

Emerade is available as:

Emerade 0.5 MG

Emerade 0.3 MG

RECOMMENDED DOSE

Children who weigh more than 30kg: 0.3mg

Adults who weigh less than 60 kg: 0.3 mg

Adults weighing more than 60 kg: 0.3 mg to 0.5 mg (based on clinical judgement)

Adolescent weighing more than 30 kg: dosing instructions for adults should be followed

* Other epinephrine auto-injectors currently available in Canada contain a maximum of 0.3 mg of epinephrine.

Emerade 0.5 mg is not recommended for use in children.

STORING YOUR EMERADE

Keep Emerade in the original package - a durable case to protect the pen

Keep Emerade at room temperature (15ºC to 25ºC). Do not freeze.

Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the label.

Replace your Emerade if the solution inside changed colors, contains particles or is leaking.

Remember to keep out of reach and sight of children.

HOW TO DISCARD YOUR EMERADE

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist about how to properly dispose of any used or unused Emerade pens.

EMERADE EXPIRY REMINDERS

Always replace your Emerade after use or before the expiration date. We can remind you when your Emerade is about to expire.
